DEAR SUPERSTAR
Hailing from the industrial wastelands of Manchester, Dear Superstar combine their passion for classic hard rock with the power and bile of modern metal.

With their unquenchable thirst for touring, Dear Superstar burst onto the live circuit alongside rock n roll giants such as Motley Crue, Metallica, Iron Maiden, KISS and Aerosmith as well as UK and European tours in support of Papa Roach, Buckcherry and Bullet For My Valentine to name just a few. After wowing crowds on the sold-out tours, they signed to esteemed boutique booking agency TKO, which quickly lead to appearances at Download Festival, Sonisphere UK/Switzerland and Graspop Festival which ultimately kept the band on a relentless touring schedule throughout 2010 and 2011.

Dear Superstar opened their own Superstar Studios to the public and started recording their definitive album Damned Religion between March 2010 and August 2011. Produced by David Jones and mixed by legendary producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson, Atreyu), the new album is a darker heavy-rock affair, dripping with swagger, anger and killer hooks.

Micky describes the album, "After being blessed with such an incredible touring history, we owed it to everyone to come back with a world class record. David really pushed us creatively, emotionally and physically to literally rip open up our souls on every track. With Bob Marlette putting all the pieces together, the end result still sounds like a Dear Superstar record but darker, more defined, and something we are all unbelievably proud of."

Applying the euphoric highs and crushing lows of touring whilst taking a darker approach to song writing, Dear Superstar are ready to unleash their career defining record via BLAST RECORDS. With the first single “OUR CITY SLEEPS (feat. Stevie D of Buckcherry)” currently carving a new beginning for Dear Superstar, the next few years are gonna be the most insane yet!

Name: Micky Satiar
Date of Birth: 31st August 1981
Origins: Rossendale, England

Role: Frontman

Having grown up through the 1980’s he has cited Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Skid Row and Johnny Cash as his main influences. Bringing those influences into the 21st century he formed bands in different guises with life-long friend Adam Smethurst as singer and guitarist since 1994. Micky Satiar has an uncommon passion for music and a never surrender attitude to life, truly living by the saying “Life is about the journey, not the destination”

Role: Lead Guitar

Born in the same hospital and living on the same street as Micky, made the guitarist and vocalist inseparable. Starting his first band, comically named "Death Maiden" illustrates his early love for heavy metal. Coupled with Adam’s shared love for the blues with his father, saw a childhood of listening to B.B King, Jimmy Reed, ZZ Top, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton –so picking up a Les Paul Standard on his 10th birthday was just the beginning.

Date of Birth: 24th October 1985

Benj started to make music with Micky and Adam at the age of 12, he had to sneak himself into rock clubs for the chance to release his teenage angst onto any drum-kit he could get behind. The untimely loss of his father and brother, sparked a brotherly bond between his band members; Benj often comments “My band mates are my family – don’t fuck with them because I will never let it lie”







Name: Stewart Milton
Date of Birth: 27th February 1986
Origins: Bury, England

Role: Rhythm Guitar

After meeting Benj on a sound engineering course, he was invited to jam with Micky and Adam, with Benj on drums. The connection was instant and his zeal for rock n roll instantly gelled. A self confessed junky for rock n roll – Stew loves every moment as his last.

Role: Bass Guitar

Ben took the opportunity to audition for Dear Superstar at the end of 2010 and it was instantly apparently that he was a true “Superstar”. He is the thunderous new backbone of Dear Superstar!
